A-Type Layer Chicken Cages for 20,480 Birds Poultry Farm in Tanzania
Project Overview
In July 2023, Livi Machinery successfully delivered and installed a full set of A-Type Layer Chicken Cages for a modern layer poultry farm located in Tanzania. The project was designed to house 20,480 laying hens in a fully enclosed, climate-adaptive poultry house, integrating cage systems with semi-automated feeding and manure cleaning solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Client Requirements and Our Solution
The Tanzanian client needed a reliable, high-density cage system with:
- Capacity to raise over 20,000 layers
- Durable equipment suitable for humid and warm environments
- Automated feeding and manure removal to reduce labor intensity
- A clean and efficient housing system to improve egg production
To meet these goals, Livi Machinery provided a solution consisting of 128 sets of A-Type Layer Chicken Cages, each with 4 tiers and 160-bird capacity. The layout was arranged in 4 rows, with 32 groups per row, installed inside a 70m × 15m enclosed chicken house.
