A-Type 4-Tier Chicken Cages for 10,240 Layers Poultry Farm in Gambia
Project Overview
In July 2023, Livi Machinery successfully supplied a complete set of A-Type 4-Tier Chicken Cages to a poultry farm in Gambia, assisting the client in establishing a well-ventilated and efficient egg production facility for over 10,000 laying hens. The farm adopted a simple open-shed structure, paired with semi-automated feeding and manure systems to improve labor efficiency and hygiene.
Project Details
To accommodate 10,000+ birds in a single chicken house, the following solution was implemented based on the farm’s size and structure:
- Cage model: A-Type 4-tier, 5-door
- Cage dimensions: 1950mm × 450mm × 410mm
- Birds per cage set: 160 layers
- Chicken shed size: 70m × 8m × 3.5m
- Layout: 2 rows × 32 sets = 64 cage sets
- Total capacity: 10,240 laying hens
This layout fits perfectly into the shed size, ensures smooth ventilation in an open-sided house, and allows for easy operation and maintenance.
Equipment Supplied
To support the customer’s goal of low-maintenance and labor-saving operation, Livi provided the following:
- ✅ 64 sets of A-Type 4-Tier Chicken Cages (hot-dip galvanized)
- ✅ Nipple drinking system with water tanks
- ✅ Scraper-type manure removal system (1 set for the entire shed)
- ✅ Gantry-type automatic feeding machine (1 set per shed)
This configuration reduces manual labor, improves cleanliness, and ensures consistent feed distribution, which contributes to higher egg production and healthier flocks.
