In February 2023, Livi Machinery delivered a complete set of A-Type 4-Tier Layer Cages to a poultry farm in Mauritius, helping a small-scale egg producer house 5,120 laying hens in a well-ventilated, open-sided chicken house. The client focused on durability, efficient space use, and ease of management.
Project Details
This project was designed for a compact but efficient layer house setup. Based on the customer’s shed structure and production capacity, the plan included:
- Cage model: A-Type 4-Tier Layer Cages
- Cage size: 195 × 45 × 41 cm
- Chicken shed size: 36m × 8m × 3m
- Layout: 2 rows × 16 sets = 32 sets total
- Total capacity: 160 birds × 32 sets = 5,120 laying hens
The open-sided design allows for natural ventilation, ideal for Mauritius’ tropical climate.
Equipment Supplied
This project provided only the cage system, without additional automation. Equipment included:
