In March 2024, Livi Machinery successfully delivered and supported the installation of A-Type Chicken Cages for Layers to a large-scale poultry project in Cameroon, consisting of three chicken sheds, each designed for over 10,000 birds. The total capacity reached 30,720 laying hens, making it one of the region’s more efficient and modern egg production facilities.
Client Requirements and Custom Design
The client requested:
- A durable, easy-to-manage cage system for 30,000+ layers

Livi Machinery proposed a layout of 64 sets of A-Type Chicken Cages per shed, arranged in 2 rows of 32 sets. With 3 identical sheds, the total setup accommodated 30,720 layers.
Farm Configuration
- Cage model: A-Type, 4-tier, 160 birds per set
- Cage dimensions: 195 × 45 × 41 cm
- Chicken shed size: 68 × 8 × 3 m per shed
- Layout: 2 rows × 32 sets = 64 sets per shed
- Total birds: 160 birds × 64 sets × 3 sheds = 30,720 birds
- Drinking system: Nipple drinking system with water tanks
- Feeding: Gantry-type automatic feeding machine (1 set per shed)
- Manure cleaning: Scraper-type manure removal system (1 set per shed)
This efficient, modular layout ensured optimal use of space, reliable feeding and cleaning, and easy scaling across multiple buildings.
