In November 2021, Livi Machinery delivered and installed a practical and efficient A-Type Layer Chicken Cages system for a layer poultry farm in Nigeria, built to accommodate 10,080 laying hens. The project was developed for an open-sided chicken house and tailored to local climatic and operational needs, combining semi-automation with cost control.

Livi Machinery designed a solution featuring 84 sets of A-Type Layer Chicken Cages (4-tier, 120 birds per group), arranged in 2 rows of 42 groups within a 88m × 9m naturally ventilated house. The system was paired with a gantry-type automatic feeding machine and a scraper-type manure cleaning system, ideal for medium-scale operations.
Farm Layout and Equipment Supplied
- 84 groups of A-Type Layer Chicken Cages (4 tiers, 120 birds per group)
- 2-row layout (42 groups per row), optimized for airflow and easy access
- 1 gantry-type automatic feeding machine (servicing the full house)
- 1 scraper-type manure cleaning machine (suitable for 2-row layout, one-to-two)
- Nipple drinking system with pressure regulators and filtration units
This setup ensured efficient feeding, reduced daily labor, and improved manure management while maintaining excellent ventilation.
